Hihi, as promised, plan-to-watch.
This one took me two days to write… because somehow I managed to pick up 24 shows to watch… if I were to include shows that continued from last season, I have 26… or 27 including Gal to Kouryuu that is coming back in November… Oh no. This is going to be my most HECTIC season since 2016.
Okay, without further ado, time to get the show on the road so that I can prepare myself of the battle ahead that will last till 2021.
100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
Oh no, another isekai, but on the bright side, it has that Mondaiji vibes that I love, with a more serious twist.
I was initially very skeptical about picking this one up but eventually I decided to watch it anyway after watching the trailer.
But will be setting my bar a little low.
Adachi to Shimamura
*Sees Yuri tag*
I don’t think I need to say anything here.
Assault Lily: BOUQUET
I mean its a Shaft show. The designs are great, animations have extreme depth, judging from the trailer. This show is gonna be a wonderful piece of eyecandy.
There are zero headtilts, was a little sad, I would probably miss it.
Dogeza de Tanondemita
I have the stupid jingle stuck in my head with the trailer.
Super lit cast list, Sugita Tomokazu in his zone yet again, even though this show is going to be a short, but DAMN AM I STOKED.
Imagine Iyapan but more condescending.
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka III
Danmachi S3… Okay, I did enjoy season 2 a lot, so I hope they could go even further. I’m going to set my bar a little high on this one.
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? BLOOM
I mean, everyone has been demanding, no longer asking, demanding a new damn season. And we finally got it.
YES. THIS SEASON IS GOING TO BE GREAT
Hanyou no Yashahime
I mean… if you Inuyasha, there is no reason for you to not watch this.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2020)
Hmm, it looks like a remake of the 2007 one, something like Kanon. I didn’t watch the 2007 one but maybe if I enjoyed this, I will watching 2007 version and do a little bit of a comparison post after that.
Iwa Kakeru! Sport Climbing Girls
YES, more girls doing more extreme things. I didn’t really hype this show a lot like Dumbbell and others, but I’m just giving this show a try.
But damn, those girls are more toned than me and I am a little jealous.
Kamisama ni Natta hi
Its a Key x P.A.Works show, you have to pick it up, no questions asked.
Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko
Hmm another isekai. One thing i find weird is that Tadokoro Azusa voicing a teenager???
I mean, she isn’t known for having such a role and she doesn’t have any prior experience in her already massive portfolio. Watching the trailer with some of her voice in it feels rather odd. Hopefully it will sink in while watching during the season.
Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen
Boarding School Juliet 2.0 Extreme War Edition, to put it simply.
I mean I kind of dig such romances since Boarding School Juliet happened so I really don’t mind such a show. But will setting a bar a little low, since Boarding School Juliet feels more romance-centric and the overall package looks sweeter.
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
Bofuri but with bears, basically. I’m picking this for the voice actresses and for some reason I feel some Yurikuma Arashi vibes coming.
But won’t be expecting a lot out of this show.
My biggest question is that, a bunch of elementary school kids have a dream… but out of all the occupations at hand, they chose to be stand-up comedians.
Like seriously. But anyway, I picked up the show to see how many misses they pulled.
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Raihousha-hen
I feel like they could have pulled this one first, before showing the movie. If we were to follow the actual chronological order, this one comes first before the movie.
But anyways, at least this will solve the void we had from the movie. Time to finish this then to the movie again.
8-bit in-charge here, instead of Madhouse. But judging from the movie animations quality and if they didn’t lose their touch, this show is going to look just fine. And since Tensho has departed 8-bit, I think 8-bit is just going to improve from here.
I am genuinely impressed with Infinite Stratos, they gave me a positive impression, as they blended 3DCGI into rotoscope animation rather perfectly, as their first work and also it was 2011. 9 years on and the show still looks amazing.
Majo no Tabitabi
Not gonna lie, Hondo Kaede pulled me into the show. But looking at the trailer, it looks pretty sweet.
So I decided to pick this one up. I need more cute girls doing cute things shows.
Maou-jou de Oyasumi
Relatable show, insomnia-themed.
I don’t think I need to say much here, I feel relatable content, I pick up.
But honestly I don’t know what to expect here, but I am going to set the bar a little bit higher since the trailer really delivered a lot of detail.
Munou na Nana
I was contemplating this one really really hard. The girl is literally Kamijou Touma but voiced by Okubo Rumi. Didn’t like the theme in general.
But eventually I gave in after reading the rest of the cast list. But I am going to put the bar a little high on this one, since the trailer did give me quite a bit of confidence.
Ochikobore Fruit Tart
Genuinely dunno what to say about this. I mean, I have a picky taste for idol shows.
But this one has that debt twist so I decided to pick this one up for the sake of looking at them snowballing their debt due to interests. 200 million yen debt hype.
One Room: Third Season
I had zero idea this one was coming. I mean I know they did plan a 3rd season, but I never heard of a release date or any sort of updates ever since.
But since this show is back, time to look at girls coming to my room to do stuff.
I watched Rail Wars, with a genuine interest about trains. Now we have this, but I watch this for the sake of Sumipe.
I guess that’s the summary of why I watch shows in general. Lol.
The trailer didn’t really show much, so I have zero idea what is coming. Setting the bar low for this one.
Strike Witches: Dai-501 Tougou Sentou Koukuudan ROAD to BERLIN
After 8 years… 8 FRIGGING YEARS, we are back for another ACTUAL Strike Witches. I feel like Brave Witches and the recent parody show were thrown in to gauge interest for the franchise since this one has been out for like… yeah, 8 years.
Brave Witches was a pretty botched attempt, but the parody show did gave me some genuine laughs and comedy.
I really want to see this franchise end properly, with a complete victory from the Neuroi.
Really can’t wait.
Looking at the trailer, I was speechless, and I have zero idea why I pressed the PTW button, looks like I have to watch this one then.
Will be wary though, since MAPPA doesn’t really make such shows.
And to wrap things up, a romance anime, from the author of Hayate. Yes, he back again.
LOOKING AT THE TRAILER, I AM STOKED. I mean I have been craving for some sweet romance comedy, this might quench my thirst.
Will be setting my bar EXTREMELY high on this one because why not? Absolute confidence on the mangaka, absolute confidence with Seven Arcs.
I wanna marry someone so bad…
Okay, that wraps up my busy Fall season. I am hyped for the shows, but not hyped by the count.
Next week will be Summer wrap up, if I can, I will write another post just like this weekend. First impressions will come the week after.
I will see you guys then!
