I’m back from the cruise! Time flies and its over… I wish it lasted longer… But its a break I needed for a long LONG time…
I will write up about the cruise in the near future, but don’t expect it anytime soon.
But yeah, the seasonal stuff, I have been slacking off during the cruise so I haven’t been watching anything. You know, vacation, I have to enjoy it to the fullest, besides, boat wifi is slow… (More on that on the cruise posts in the future)
But I did binge watch once I’m back so I managed to clear it.
So far so good. I really like this realism nature of this show. I don’t really have much to complain. Even the soundtrack sounds pretty lit so far.
I would say this show’s animation quality is extremely consistent. Nothing mindblowing, but consistent. I really can’t wait to see how this show pans out. I’m not dropping the show ever.
I love this show, but I have to say, this is an Azur Lane situation.
This show feels extremely rushed, last week its the animations, this week its the storyline. I’m starting to feel the condensation of the plot. The previous arc ended really abruptly and now we are on to a new adventure.
I really love this show, but the problems keeps on popping up and I feel very inclined to drop this.
But I don’t think I will drop this one. If I do drop this, probably some catastrophic failure coming from the show.
No drop, so chill.
Housekisho Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei
Ah, the SJW friendly show. I really loved it. This show is definitely the better version of the Kyoto antique show.
The songs are great, the animations are so darn consistent. But this show is rather chill, so if the studio cannot manage to handle a simple job like this, the studio should just stick to making 15mins shows instead.
But anyhow, not dropping. Sakurai Takehiro sounds too darn solid for me to drop.
This show feels rather bland at this point. It was very intriguing and interesting during the beginning parts. But the show start to feel rather repetitive with certain aspects of the dialogue.
The story is also rather slow as well, they are cracking a case in 1-2 episode on average so far, but I feel like the mystery cracking is rather shallow and lacking in depth in a lot of things.
Tsuda Kenjiro’s voice for Sakaido can get a little annoying at times, but I guess I have to get used to it. This show’s animations has been pretty consistent and good looking as well. NAZ’s best work yet.
OP and ED are bangers as well.
Not dropping this one. I’m still having a decent time watching the show.
I was pretty confused initially, but slowly as the show progresses, I’m starting to enjoy the show even more.
Ono Yuko’s voice is oddly cute to listen to. I think the show needs to speed up though. It is rather slow.
Animations are pretty consistent. Character designs are probably one of my favourites this season.
Not dropping. VR gaming is starting to turn bland so might as well just milking it till the end.
Isekai Quartet 2
So far so comedy. Lacking in the Shield Hero stuff though.
Well, Funimation has dropped the show, what’s next? Back to pirating then, as usual. I might write a post about Funimation as a whole in the near future, I just wanted to gather some more data before putting it down as a post.
That aside, the show has been extremely lit. It was unsettling to watch during the previous weeks. But as time progresses, I guess you just have to get used to it.
I really like how Passione is dealing with the sexual scenes. It’s just great so far. They are known to be rather open about fanservice, and they did it again. The animations been rather amazing, but resolution as a whole is a little bit on the soft side, with a bit of bloom to hide that low resolution.
Not dropping this nut.
Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu.
Well, I called that developer nerf patch coming on that girl, that really boost the realism to a certain extent, so she won’t be OP all the time.
The show as a whole was pretty well done, this week especially. The constant switching to 3DCGI is so clean and seamless that the impact of that animation style change is minimal.
They really dedicated a lot of their time to make such a show into something pretty amazing. The show was kind of en route towards the generic zone, but the animations really brought this show back to life.
Not dropping, cute girls fighting OP monsters.
Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun
So far soooo good. I think the show doesn’t lack anything at all at this point.
All they need to do now is to be consistent with the content delivery and animations.
The music is great, character designs are lit, and extremely faithful to the original source. The manga panel artstyle use is pretty on-point, to the point I feel like sometimes this show is a shoujo show.
Not dropping this one for sure. Ogata Megumi’s voices never disappoint.
So far so good, on the slice-of-life. I don’t think I have much complains about this show.
But this show is definitely on the slower side of things out of all the slice-of-lives that Dogakobo made.
Not dropping, the subtle yuri feels great.
I feel like this show is starting to take shape. I’m starting to love this show. Character designs are great, animations are pretty consistent.
I don’t think I will be dropping. Kito Akari’s blonde girl voice feels rather refreshing.
Not dropping, I like this ghost hunting show a lot so far.
Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden
So far the darkness is still lacking, but it is there, in another form.
The story pacing is also rather hard to catch on, it can be slow on one week, but then everything crammed together in another week.
I’m not going to say I’m loving this show completely, but I don’t hate the show as well.
Not dropping anymore.
Murenase! Seton Gakuen
It was rather unsettling to watch in the beginning, but as time progresses, and more cute girls start popping up, I think this show is fine.
Character designs are great. Music is a bit of a mess.
I don’t think I will drop this one.
So far, the new content feels refreshing. Cinnamon’s voice did change a little bit, and it sounds more like the VN Cinnamon now.
That aside, story and content delivery felt rather great so far. I can’t wait for more every week.
Not dropping this one, ever.
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T
Story is definite a lot more solid than Index III by a long mile. This is why I will always be on the Railgun > Index camp.
The content delivery is great. The pacing is just right. The music is great as well, fripSide finally going back to their roots.
Can’t wait for more. Not dropping.
So yeah, that’s all for my 3 week soak test impression post. My next seasonal post will be during mid-season. The season so far looks pretty stable, with no shows I intend to drop.
What’s next on the blog? The cruise trip of course. I won’t been giving any dates or deadlines just yet, but I will try to get those post done as soon as possible.
So I will see you guys then!
