Oh look, I need to sweep the floor, the leaves are everywhere.
Jokes on you, I don’t have a backyard.
So Fall is now in semi-full swing (?), so it’s time for another post. So far so… okay?
I would say this show is not really for everyone. It’s a literal cocktease, inside out.
I kind of enjoy the story, but a lot of the context is “Play The Game” or “Look It Up On The Official Website” and I’m like why?
But pretty much watching the show for the sake of the voice actresses. I will play this game once the Remaster is released.
OP is great, but the ED sequence though, embracing Halloween?
Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
I really CANNOT handle Ishihara Kaori[‘s emo voice, she reminds me of Kayano Ai voicing Inori so much, and I don’t like it.
Her voice is more of the cheerful cheery type, so listening to her can be quite a torture.
That aside, the story pacing is very slow, but character developments is pretty decent so far. I wish the plot can move a little faster, especially when it’s going to last a cour.
Not really enjoying the show, P.A.Works is seriously holding themselves back in the animation side of things so the story impact isn’t all that great as their previous works. Let’s see things will change in future. I don’t think I will be dropping this, unless the story screws up big time somewhere in the season.
Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet
I actually like this. The romance is sweet and the story is straightforward.
The pacing is pretty fast as it is rather episodic, but every episode sends a clear message. The romance in this show is surprisingly sweet and there is decent amount of progress. I want more shows like this, without the drama and messy harems. Just a couple, trying to seek that romance life in school.
Comedy is pretty decent, some maybe rather overused, but it will still do the trick. Dropping this is impossible for me, I like Kayano Ai’s voice here.
Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai
The animations looked absolutely unacceptable, you have 2 studios doing the production, but they are producing such quality. Lacking in depth made characters looked extremely drawing-board-like.
Colors looked great, but the inconsistency is just unbearable.
Story may be going in a rather weird direction, but I’m okay with it. Ogura Yui’s role is pretty damn cute for some reason, maybe because her voice fits the character strangely.
Dropping this is unlikely? But I wish they can improve the animations, Hajimete no Gal looked better than this.
Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai
SO far SOOOOOOO GREATTTTT.
This show is getting high rankings in my list. The character chemistry is so on-point. 3 episodes in this one is absolute anime of the season. This pair is probably the best since Bakemonogatari.
A must watch. Definitely never dropping this one.
So far so good? They did their job preserving the Tsuburaya spirit, but nothing beats the realism from tokusatsu.
The combat is pretty okay, Trigger animations make things look rather dramatic. So far nothing much to nitpick whatsoever, but I don’t think I will drop this, too much nostalgic value for me.
Sword Art Online: Alicization
Yeap, this show is definitely take its time.
The pacing is questionably slow on this one. The context so far is pretty minimal, but I think we have plenty of time to watch anyway.
I think the dramaless story will last for another 5-6 episodes.
Dropping this is also highly unlikely because I’m watching this for the sake of continuity.
Yagate Kimi ni Naru
So far so good, it’s pretty slow, but developments is moving at a rather delightful route. I can’t wait for more, Kotobuki Minako’s voice here is just so perfect…
Despite the slow pace, the plot isn’t lethargic or what, but I’m just waiting for the final outcome.
Never dropping this one.
Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru
My Go-to show when the week seems dark.
The comedy is so on-point so far, the interactions between the characters are pretty sweet, despite the frequent squabbling.
I can’t wait for more. Never dropping this one.
Toaru Majutsu no Index III
Yeap, finally got around to watching this show.
So far we get into a new arc right off the bat. The formula is pretty much retained like the previous seasons.
Side characters ascending to main characters status.
But yeah, not dropping since Railgun S3 is official.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken
The pacing is EXTREMELY SLOW. Like 3 episodes in already, seriously, the developments is so little despite completing an arc.
But dropping this will be blasphemy-like for some reason so I won’t be dropping this.
Tokyo Ghoul:re 2
It’s too painful to watch.
It’s literally watching a building collapse. The content cutting is just too much and too ridiculous.
If Ishida Sui really thinks this is okay, he is an extremely lazy author. He’s okay with watching a work he perfected being destroyed by Pierrot just like that.
But dropping it will be stupid at this point since it’s the last season.
Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san
I feel really unmotivated to watch this one. It’s so slow, it’s mundane, it’s too bland.
The vampire, supposedly the “unique” point of the story, is a rather boring individual, making the story even more stale.
I am seriously thinking about dropping this one.
Well that’s it for this week. Next week will be the final post for this one, I will also reveal which show I’m dropping.
I will be writing a few posts over the weekends so yeah.
See you all then.
