ITS A FAKE: Nisekoi

Hey all. Time to clear more backlogs…

Manga origin and completed. 25volumes in 5 years. Anime ran for 2 seasons. 1st season was 20ep, the 2nd was only 12. 4OVAs in total too.

The story is pretty much… a non-ecchi version of To Love-ru. Nothing happens, the harem battle will always end with a stalemate. Character development pretty much stagnates with maybe some girls get an advantage for awhile before losing it afterwards. The pacing were pretty slow, until S2 comes in and because of it’s reduced episode count, everything felt very crammed and extremely condensed. There isn’t exactly a climax. The ending is the blalant “read the manga ending for more stalemates.” ending. Overall, its a nice ride, but the story is just predictable. Its entertaining, but it became pretty stale in S2. OVAs were fanservices as usual, but they were pretty entertaining. Shinbo Akiyuki’s skill has found its limits.

Animations by Shaft. HEADTILTS… Animations were nicely done, colors were vivid. Lines were sharp. Character designs were great.

Music were good too. OP and EDs were fantastic. I like S1 music more. BGMs were fine.

VAs is a pretty nice list. Uchiyama Koki, Toyama Nao, Hanazawa Kana, Kaji Yuki, Koyasu Takehito, Uchiyama Yumi, Komatsu Mikako, Asumi Kana, Numakura Manami, Sakura Ayane, Koiwai Kotori, Taichi You, Nabatame Hitomi, Ohara Sayaka, Hiyama Nobuyuki, Ueda Reina, Toyoguchi Megumi. They all did a great job.

Score: S1|S2

Story: 8/10 | 7.5/10

Art: 8/10

Music: 8.5/10 | 7.5/10

VAs: 8/10 | 8.5/10

Recommended if you really have nothing to do and want to watch shows for no reason.
