GRENADE!: D-frag!

Heyo~ Time to write another review now.

From a manga. Still ongoing, Anime lasted for 12 eps with 1 OVA.

This show was the start of HanaKana’s 2014 where she voices in nearly every show in every season of 2014. The story started off pretty well, then slowly because very nonsensical and the story pretty much derailed from the purpose. The show also became pretty episodic and is as messy as Mayoi Neko Overrun. The messiness of the plot kinda dampens the comedy and the main character keeps shouting all the time, making it ever more boring, because it became overused and repetitive. The climax felt like sugarcoated stuff and the ending is so blalant “read the manga ending. OVA is just fanservice as usual. Overall, the show is a bit enjoyable, but also a hell to complete.

Animations by Brain’s Base. Its decent, character designs were average. The quality was average too, probably saving the resources to animate Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou next season which was a total eye opener. This show doesn’t really need much quality so its fine.

Music is ok. OP and ED were messy as hell, BGMs were average.

VAs is a pretty ok list. Chiwa Saito, Hanazawa Kana, Konishi Katsuyuki, Takahashi Mikako, Ito Shizuka, Nakata Jouji, Toyoguchi Megumi, Toyosaki Aki, Fukuyama Jun, Sanpei Yuuko, Ishida Akira, Matsuki Miyu, Inada Tetsu, Takahashi Minami, Koshimizu Ami, Ueda Kana, Sendai Eri, Yuzuki Ryoka, Isomura Tomomi. All of them were fine. But Katsuyuki spent 80% of the time shouting over little things, which gets increasingly repetitive.

Story: 7/10

Art: 7/10

Music: 8/10

VAs: 8/10

Recommended? I don’t really know, some might like it, some don’t. But it’s hard for me to recommend this show to someone else.
