Decline: Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Vivid

Heyo, sorry for delaying this post for a day, I watched Power Rangers yesterday so couldn’t find the time to write it.

This show is slightly different. The anime originated from a manga, written by the creator of Nanoha. Anime ran for 12 eps.

The storyline transitioned from Nanoha to Vivio now for the protagonist spot. The story also became more laidback. They went from active duty to more of… erm… a break? The story also transitioned from ranged magic spells to CQC magic, which is nice to see. The change may be hard to get used to, but after getting used to it, it can get pretty entertaining. The combat sequences are pretty decent. The 12 eps made the show pretty damn short and the ending was a very bad cliffhanger. Overal, it was enjoyable, the ride was nice, but the ending leaves more to be desired. Probably because Kusakawa Keizo wasn’t back to do the directing and Tsuzuki Masaki isn’t doing the series composition like the previous seasons.

Animations by A-1. Their character designs had totally destroyed the way Nanoha was supposed to be and the combat scenes seems pretty mediocre. I looks incredibly bad.

Music is ok. BGMs were fine, OP and EDs were decent. Music was always Nanoha’s weakness.

Cast list expanded again. This time we add Noto Mamiko, Kitamura Eri, Fukuen Misato. The VA voicing many roles issues still exists here but isn’t as bad as StrikerS.

Story: 8/10

Art: 7/10

Music: 7/10

VAs: 7/10

Not recommended for first timers andNanoha fans might not like this one.

Tomorrow will be my last Nanoha post. Stick around~
