Good evening~ Was watching Aldnoah.Zero on BD and browsing the Reader and then it hit me, I havent do a single Top 10 even since i started this website, and im also running out of anime reviews in my card deck so i decided to write one.
Ok here goes nothing…
10. Skip Beat
Quite messy, but the story escalates pretty quickly, and this was aired back in 2008, during the pinnacle of animes. 25 eps felt just right and comedy out of proportion, Tsundere also included in the package. But might feel dissatisfied by the ending as you might want more of this… Romance wise is pretty messy but dramatic, so never worry about being bored, in fact, you might even feel embarassed for the characters.
9. Baka Test
One of the most hilarious series i have ever watched since 2010… Many positive points about this anime. High quality animation sequences, roller coaster level of comedy, pretty
painful messy and dramatic romance. Tsundere, yandere are both included inside the package, so feast your eyes to one of the deadliest show you will ever watch. Romance wise is pretty obvious and sometimes frustrating as they are all pretty much idiots in that subject since its not in their curriculum. Density to a whole new level.
8. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
One of the most wildest roller coaster ride i ever took. The comedy was high and crazy for the first half then when OP2 comes, everything starts to go down, like really down, the feels get so legit that it puts a few tears in eyes. It can also be very depressing. The romance does pick up after the second half, but its not just the MCs, but the other characters romance also blooms. The happy ending of the anime really make you feel relieved but also depressing because it ends at the point where it gets more interesting. Tsundere and Kuudere are inside.
The romance only really picks up during Love Story (movie), but there are hints dropped during Market (anime). Comedy is pretty one-of-a-kind so its quite hard to catch but slowly if you keep rewatching, you might actually start laughing for no reason. Romance wise, its pretty serious and not much comedy was pulled as we are approaching a very serious topic that will change your life forever, feels warning.
6. Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha.
This one is pretty unique. Romance already escalates since the first ep and then bam shot down, LANDSLIDDDDEEEEE. Escalates again but slowly this time. The unique point is the mainstream speech is in Kansai dialect, the supernatural setting and the god-human relationships. Comedy isnt really high in this one and its quite hard to catch also but still entertaining in its own way. Its pretty serious about romance, they tried to pull off a feels ending, but failed, didnt drip a drop of water.
5. Inu X Boku SS
One of the most classy i have ever seen. Those who seen this will feel very royal. The romance here is pretty classy and even the comedy also feel royal. All the gags are priceless, like literally. Drama is pretty high and damn, supernatural settings, i like. Tsunderes? Yeap. Kuuderes? Yeap. S & Ms? Yeap. Dogs? Yeap. Lolis? Yeap. Classy animations? Yeap. High budget? Definitely. Costly? Of course. What more to ask for? Ending might be disappointing for most of you guys, because overall it feels damn short and might make you think that “Ah, i wasted XXhours of my life”. You might want more, but since the budget is pretty high, so only 1 season with a few OVAs.
Price: Quite expensive
One of the most controvesial series ever made. The romance ended up entering the forbidden circle of incest, no wonder they make True Routes, they cant air this on TV. I enjoy this because of the storyline and the ride, it was damn entertaining, comedy elements are out of the box. Romance only starts to pick up during the 2nd season, then it never stopped escalating, it does drop for awhile but then it escalates so high it reaches Incest haven. I feel for the ending even tho many people think its shit. Density is pretty high in this one.
3. Golden Time
I love this one a lot. Romance starts the same timing as the anime. Escalates every ep, then blooms then landslides, then feels and blooms again. It tends to get really messy then bam, you get lost along the way but then slowly you will still find your way back. Comedy will pop out random and but still quite funny. Need a control freak girlfriend? Look no furthur. This one plays with your feels a lot, manipulating you like a sadist. A unique point is that, its supernatural setting.
2. Kaichou wa Maid sama
One of the catalyst that pushed Tsundere into the mainstream realm. Romance starts a bit later and it is heavily coated with Tsun. Comedy is pretty legit too. The tsun here lacks a lot in feminine feel which makes her very boyish. But overall not bad, ending might make you want more. This is also one of the most romantic anime i ever watched.
Last but not least….
One of the most legit i ever watched. It really plays with your feels, like seriously. Romance that escalates at a very steady pace then the feels kick in so heavily, it doesnt make you tear, but it makes you very depressed. This is also one of the catalyst that brought Tsundere into Mainstream Realm. Romance is pretty well done, comedy pretty well-integrated into the show, bringing out its natural charm. The one-of-a-kind male MC with a severely Tsun female MC, cute combination. Density is pretty high in this one, but never mind, its entertaining. Drama everywhere, but clean one, no mess.
Well this wraps up my lengthy post. Might do a top 10 harem tomorrow.
